Slow Food NYC needs your help!
Slow Food NYC’s Urban Harvest program has entered the Seeds of Change® Grant Program for an opportunity to receive one of 17 grants. These grants will be awarded to organizations that help support and develop sustainable, community-based gardening and farming programs that focus on teaching people where their food comes from and the delicious ways it can end up on your plate.
Slow Food NYC is asking our community for support through the public voting phase!
From now through April 21, you will have an opportunity to vote ONCE PER DAY for the “Success Garden”, SFNYC’s Urban Harvest new educational farm in East New York. After voting closes, the top 50 organizations with the most votes will move on to a final judging phase, after which the recipients will be announced on May 5.
So set your calendars and support Urban Harvest’s good food educational initiatives!
Remember you can vote once a day from April 1 – April 21!
The Slow Food NYC East New York farm program will provide a safe place for hands-on learning about good food, from seed to plate, and will help prepare kids to make healthy choices, lead healthy lives and share with their families and community.
