5:00pm to 7:00pm

It's the Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It's fun, social, and informal. But it's also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to have a relaxing drink with other "Slow" minded people? The Slur is your opportunity — free and open to everyone.

Gun Hill Brewing Co. is the first brewery in 50 years to create beers in the Bronx. All beers are brewed on-site in the 5000-square-foot space using fresh ingredients from local New York farmers. Dedicated to creating high-quality, unique, and delicious craft beers, Gun Hill's lineup includes a hoppy IPA, a full-bodied stout, and a thirst-quenching American-style wheat ale. All pints are $5 and Bronx-made soft pretzels are available. Plus, there's free popcorn!

Please join us at our first Bronx Slur for a first taste of this newly-opened microbrewery (which recently made New York Mag's list of 8 breweries to visit: It's a short walk from the 2 and 5 trains; or visit the NY Botanical Gardens or Woodlawn Cemetery beforehand and stop by our Slur afterwards for a drink. We hope to see you there.
