The Brooklyn Slur - L'Albero dei Gelati

Tuesday, August 26, 2014 (7:00pm to 9:00pm)

It's the Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It's fun, social, and informal. But it's also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to have a relaxing drink with other "Slow" minded people? The Slur is your opportunity — free and open to everyone.

L'Albero dei Gelati, the Brooklyn outpost of a popular gelato shop in Italy, offers all-natural desserts, homemade pastries, and breads lovingly crafted from ingredients sourced from small-scale farmers who cultivate their food, respecting the land. Committed to only using the freshest ingredients at their peak, the cafe proudly adheres to the Slow Food philosophy of good, clean, and fair food and explains the provenance of its items on the detailed menu (organic flour, milk and cream from grass-fed cows, fair trade tea). Paninis, cheese & charcuterie boards, and a selection of biodynamic wines and organic beers round out the menu.

For our Slur, we'll be in the charming outdoor garden (weather permitting) and L'Albero dei Gelati will offer a free welcome glass of wine to each attendee.

Location: L'Albero dei Gelati - 341 5th Avenue (btn 4th & 5th); Park Slope, Brooklyn
