The Queens Slur - Dutch Kills Centraal

Monday, January 27, 2014 (7:00pm to 9:00pm)

The Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It's fun, social, and informal. But it's also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to have a relaxing drink with other "Slow" minded people? The Slur is your opportunity - free and open to everyone.

Dutch Kills Centraal was built with the goal of bringing community together. A long table runs down the center of the restaurant, facilitating conversation and helping to establish a warm, family atmosphere. The restaurant has a full bar including craft beers, some of which are local to Queens. The menu — including fried pickles, beet salad, Hudson Valley cheese, seasonal market vegetables, and a certified hormone free burger — skews American-comfort with a decidedly local twist: ingredients are sourced from the Greenmarket as well as the Brooklyn Grange.

During our Slur, Dutch Kills Centraal will be hosting a beer and wine special.  Additionally, the Chef will create a special bar snack, appetizer, and main course for the week of our event to raise more community awareness about Slow Food NYC. We hope to see you there.
