The University Slur - The Grey Dog

Monday, May 6, 2013 (7:00pm to 9:00pm)

The Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It's fun, social, and informal. But it's also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to relax with other "Slow" minded people? The Slur is your opportunity - free and open to everyone.

Our city's colleges and universities are hotbeds of passion, idealism, and creative energy when it comes to creating a food system that is good, clean, and fair. Slow Food NYC is very excited about building new and stronger connections with our local sibling chapters. Are you are a member of your school's Slow Food chapter? Are you interested in creating a new Slow Food chapter at your school? Are you just an individual student who's interested in learning more about Slow Food? The University Slur is for you!

The Grey Dog was opened in 1996 with the aim of providing a local, small-town coffee shop for those in the neighborhood to retreat to comfortably and often. At their Mulberry Street location, The Grey Dog offers an extensive array of teas and coffees, juices, smoothies and sodas, as well as a short list of beer and wine. On the menu, you'll find salads and sandwiches, small plates, and classic American breakfast served well into the afternoon.

For this Slur, we will be co-hosting with The New School chapter of Slow Food. We hope to see you there.

Location: The Grey Dog (Mulberry St.) - 244 Mulberry Street (btn. Spring & Prince); Manhattan
