The Brooklyn Farmacy is a corner soda fountain, a neighborhood gathering spot and a market for local and small-producer products. The motto is "fresh, friendly, local," and it's true of everything on their seasonal menu of pies, ice cream flavors, toppings and etc. For their new P,B & J, they got the Good Batch to make the peanut butter, the strawberry jam is from Miss Amy's preserves, and the bread from Caputo Bakery. The ice cream is from Adirondack Creamery, the milk is from Hudson Valley Milk, the pies are First Place Pies from lower Manhattan. Sauces, Stroopwafels and granola are all made within walking distance of the shop; cupcakes come from Robicelli, the coffee is Dallis Brothers, and the soda syrups are from local P&H. Sibling owner-operators Gia and Peter love the stories and people behind the products they use and sell, and Peter says local is simpler – everything can be picked up or delivered by car or bike, and less preservatives and stabilizers means he can pronounce everything on the label and know what he is serving.
