Brooklyn Larder
For those of you already enamored of the wonderful pizzas, pastas and etc. at Snail of Approval winner Franny's, you can now purchase many of the special ingredients they use at their first spin-off, Brooklyn Larder, a retail provisions store right down the street from the restaurant, where they feature "international and local producers who through their products express their local identities and ultimately their respect for the earth."
Those products include a spectacular assortment of artisanal cheeses, oils, condiments and other pantry items, as well as a rich, full menu of house-made salumi, charcuterie, salads, sandwiches and prepared foods. Check the website for featured products of the month, which at press time included pomegranate and blood orange jam from the Ginestre family farm, and the only traditional raw milk Stilton in the world.
