Open since 2000, Rose Water was "slow" long before it was in, and long before Park Slope became a foodie destination. The menu, updated daily, is focused on seasonal American cuisine with a "commitment to as much local, regional, organic and sustainable food as the seasons will allow," and a "thoughtfully selected wine and beer list that expresses place and time with as little chemical contact as possible." They cure their own meat and make their own yogurt, ice cream and sorbet, and under the watchful eye of owner/host John Tucker, the cozy dining room is perfect for intimate conversation or a romantic date.
