The Good Fork

In the battle for the most “slow” restaurants in a borough, the Good Fork may well push Brooklyn over the top. This cozy restaurant serves seasonal, eclectic cuisine with many locally sourced ingredients; in fact, all of the woodwork in the restaurant was built by carpenter/owner Ben Schneider. His wife’s (Chef Sohui Kim) food is always well executed, and the garden out back offers a perfect respite from the urban chaos. Look for “AV” on the menu, indicating ingredients from Red Hook’s own Added Value community farm, only blocks away.
