Ronnybrook is one of the great success stories of local sustainable agriculture. The cows eat grass in summer and corn and hay in winter—no hormones, no antibiotics. The milk is pasteurized and bottled—in returnable glass—with nothing added, ever. It’s not homogenized; the cream rises to the top. If you’re at all nostalgic about what milk used to taste like, you need to try Ronnybrook. They also make a wide range of equally wonderful milk products: flavored milks (the chocolate is amazing), cream, butter, yogurt, creme fraiche (outstanding), and cheeses.
