NYC Volunteer Opportunity:

SFNYC Volunteer Training

You have asked for volunteer opportunities—helping out at events and sharing your love for Good, Clean and Fair food in New York City. We have heard you, and want to train a group of members and supporters to represent Slow Food NYC at events throughout the city.

Learn about how Slow Food International started in Italy, how long SFNYC has been in existence, and how we are living and supporting our mission in NYC. Did you know that we support educational programs and gardens in 5 NYC schools? Did you know that over 60 food establishments have qualified for the Snail of Approval? Come learn about our latest projects to establish Neighborhood Farms and to start a Slow Food NYC Book Club.

Once you have received this training, you will have the opportunity to represent SFNYC at events. You will be the first to hear about volunteer opportunities and receive preference to work these events. Please join us for an hour, meet fellow Slow Food supporters and become an educated SFNYC volunteer.

Where: Jimmy’s No. 43 – 43 East 7th Street (near 2nd Ave.); Manhattan

When: Tuesday, February 23rd – 7pm to 8pm
