Join us for our annual SnailFest benefit event, an evening dedicated to celebrating New York City's vibrant slow food movement and the local food establishments that have earned the prestigious Snail of Approval award.
The night kicks off with a local wine and cocktail reception from 6:30-7:30 PM, followed by a seated dinner and program from 7:30-9:30 PM. Enjoy a seasonal, multi-course meal from event host and Snail of Approval awardee Eataly paired with local beverages, including thoughtful wine pairings by Cab Franc Forward, a winery-led initiative dedicated to elevating Cabernet Franc as New York State’s defining red grape. Bid in our silent auction throughout the evening and help us honor New York City chefs, purveyors, and slow food champions who bring intention, sustainability, and flavor to every bite.

Supporting our work
Proceeds from SnailFest support Slow Food NYC’s mission to build a more sustainable and equitable local food system through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
While education and community is the root of our mission, we also focus our efforts on systemic change. Our Snail of Approval certification is awarded to food establishments, from farms to retailers to restaurants, who are aligned with our vision. We share information about our awardees on our website as a resource for our community.
Slow Food NYC is the New York City outpost of the global slow food movement. We envision a world where all New Yorkers can eat food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it, good for the planet, and good for the future. In addition to awarding Snail of Approval certifications, we achieve this vision by:
Convening our community and encouraging conversation inspired by thought leaders, experts, and our lived experiences. We host a suite of educational and community events throughout the year through our Slow U programming.
Advocating for system changes to our food system through policy education and activism events for our community.
Addressing food insecurity through volunteerism and urban farming through our Urban Harvest collaboration with our Snail of Approval initiative.
Tickets include food, drinks, access to our silent auction, and an unforgettable evening celebrating the best of our city's slow food scene. The menu has been crafted with dietary restrictions in mind, but please reach out to richa.mehra@slowfoodnyc.org with any concerns!

OUR In-Kind Donors
Cab Franc Forward Cab Franc Forward NY is a winery-led initiative dedicated to elevating Cabernet Franc as New York State’s defining red grape. It brings together producers from the Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley, Long Island, and beyond to promote a unified message about one of New York’s greatest viticultural success stories. Regional Expression & Terroir: This lineup highlights the distinct character of NY’s top growing regions:
Finger Lakes (Boundary Breaks, Dr. Konstantin Frank, Hermann J. Wiemer)

Guided by TCM, Ayurvedic, and Western-science medical advisors, Laroot’s gluten-free, organic, small-batch, chef-prepared meals are crafted to heal and nourish optimally. Special Thanks
Eataly SoHo
A massive thank you to Eataly SoHo for hosting us. Eataly’s very inception is deeply intertwined with the Slow Food movement: their relationship with founder Carlo Petrini dates back to 2003, before their first store even opened. Grounded in Petrini’s vision, Eataly was built to champion biodiversity, support small-scale artisans, and make food that is "good, clean, and fair" accessible to all. We are thrilled to gather in a space that shares our core roots and commitment to sustainable gastronomy.
